Ivinghoe Velos Rides For Sunday 11th October 2026

This weeks rides are for the Young and the old, join us in club kit or whatever you feel comfortable in, lycra or Coton, coloured Green, Brown or White, just the Smart choice for the weather. There could be a Gayle, a Gray day it could even be Dyer as we head Easton or West. Whether you ride carbon, aluminium or Steele, (just not a harley Davison) you are welcome. As usual there will be Uphill and Downes on the rides but we will aim to stay together in our usual cycle Train. On the Hill don’t be a Walker, get yourself in a low gear and Hitch yourself up the final Furlong. We like to Foster a team spirit, riding in a group, we are on the same Page, Joslyn to take a turn on the front. Prior to riding load those carbs, pasta or Rice 1,000 calories are McAnuff? Whether you stay Lowe or you are Keen to climb, just make sure you are Holden on to the group. If you can Garner an advantage in the slipsteam, just Hyde in the bunch as we ride past fields and Underwood, not quite Sherwood forest. We pass farms with Barnes, ringing our Bell down the Lane. If you get a mechanical we won’t call you a Louza or a Walley, we will lend a Hand and O’Tool if needed, is that a Phillips? Helping each other out, that’s the Law! Along with Dave, Richard and How, we Taylor our rides to suit all, the Main aim is enjoyment, the boys have put in a Sterling effort and are Keen to get variety in the rides. We’ve been to the Lee, up the Hale and across the Meadows, even the odd Horsefield. Not quite as far as Bolton yet, Dublin, Fyfe, Putney or across to Holland but you never know! So on Sunday we Spring into action, all are welcome, new riders and returners, Smith and Jones! We have Cleverly put together these rides , not Larkin around, to give you the chance to put the Harmer down and get a King of the mountian, you would be over the Mooney I’m sure…….. and then it’s home James, back to the pub to celebrate, just don’t Hogg the limelight, as you take Demerit, you won’t get a Butler but there will be a warm welcome. They will Cook up some Crisp cheesy chips delivered with a Doyley. Supping a Fuller pint after a hard ride as we Bond over a beer, it could be the life or Riley, you may even say this is ……….Bliss(ett)
