Velos Rides for Sunday 1st May 2016

Our three rides for this Sunday are –

9am start, 52 lumpy miles

10am start, 35 lumpy miles

10am start, 16 miles with just the one lump

As always, we depart from the Rose and Crown in Ivinghoe at the time stated above.

Our plan is to ride together in groups, so we ask anyone who is with us to keep an eye on the rider behind them. If they are starting to drop off, give a call to the rider in front to slow the pace.

Thanks again to Dave and Dave for sending the routes in.

In honour of a Birthday….

Dear Dusty Springfield….. (And our lovely Daphne…) a Tea Ride tribute will be departing as usual at 10am from the Rose & Crown on Saturday morning.

I don’t know what it is that makes me love you so
I only know I never want to let you go
‘Cause you’ve started something
Oh, can’t you see?
That ever since we met
You’ve had a hold on me
It happens to be true
I only want to ride with you…

It doesn’t matter where we go or what we do
I want to spend each Saturday with you
Oh, look what has happened with just one ride
I just don’t want to stay at home and hide
It’s crazy but it’s true
I only want to ride with you

You stopped and smiled at me
And asked if I’d care to enrol
I came along for tea & cake
And it’s all so great for my soul

Now listen honey,
I just want to ride with you guys everywhere
As long as we’re altogether, honey, I don’t care
‘Cause we’ve started something
Oh, can’t you see?
That every time we meet
You have a hold on me
No matter where we go
I only want to ride with you

Velos Rides for Sunday 3rd April 2016

Sunday Rides

Three on offer again this week.

9am start, 53 miles to Cranfield

10am start, 30 miles to Chesham

10am start, 14 miles via Dagnall

As usual, please bring a copy of your chosen route. We start at the time indicated from the Rose and Crown Public House in Ivinghoe. New riders are always welcome to join us and we have a policy of no one gets left behind.

The return of the regular Tuesday Evening Ride

The weather is improving and the evenings are lighter, so it is time to revive the Tuesday evenings rides. We set-off from the Pitstone Roundabout (the one near the village green) at 6:30pm and cycle for about an hour, completing our ride with a visit to the R&C for rehydration. It may be a bit murky on the way home so lights are advisable.
