Mr Dave “Undulating” Bembridge has delivered another two routes for us this Sunday. Less hilly than last week (which is quite easy to do as last Sunday was a mountain goat special).

Long Route – 29 miles 

Short route – 20 miles

We meet from 9:45am at the Rose and Crown for a 10am departure.

Meet at 10 am outside the Rose and Crown for tea, cake and adventures. Weather looks tropical- well, above freezing.

We gather from 9:45am and plan to depart at 10am sharp. Please bring a copy of the route and possibly a sail to make best use of the predicted strong winds.

The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow,
And what will the poor cyclist do then, poor thing?
He’ll jump on his bike and keep himself warm ….
and hunt out tea and cake of course!

As usual, 10am at the Rose and Crown, Ivinghoe.  (We recommend an extra pair of socks or two and something to keep your ears warm!)

If there’s a covering of snow, we have a lovely route taking in some easy tracks and very little time on the roads.  We will however, see what the morning has in store for us!

Our departure point will be the Rose & Crown in Ivinghoe, gathering from 9:45am onwards for a prompt 10am departure. We always welcome new members plus those who have been away for a while and fancy a spin out again.

It’s that time of year again – Our  beloved Bertie Bassett (founder of the SSSTSR – Slightly Slower Stick Together Sunday Ride) a.k.a. Mr Barratt, is having another birthday.

At his request, we are heading off to Bluebells in Marsworth for coffee, cake and candles.

As ever, 10am departure from the Rose & Crown.  Wrap up warm – it’s gonna be chilly!!

Looks like it will be a frosty morning tomorrow so this might be a good time to dust off the mountain bike or hybrid. Having said that, the forecast is sometimes a little unreliable so we are publishing two rides from Mr Dave “Never too cold” Bembridge.

This Saturday it’s the celebration of Lady Jenny of Ivinghoe who has chosen Wing Church as the Destination of the Day.  For those not wanting to brave the cold on two wheels and would like to join us there, we expect to arrive shortly after 11am.   Tea, cake and quick sprint back to the pub.
