Word has reached us that the level crossing at Marsh is closed, so the routes we sent out earlier tonight won’t work !
Apologies for that – we have made an update to the routes and republished them.
The 20 mile route is not affected.
Many thanks to Liz Carpenter for the tip off.
Three road rides on offer this week
As always, please do bring a copy of your chosen route with you. We depart from the Rose & Crown in Ivinghoe at the times stated above.
If you are free on Tuesday and fancy an evening ride, please meet us at Pitstone Roundabout where we will depart at 6:30pm.
Spring has sprung so time to get out on your bike !
If you are one of our usual 10am riders we would encourage you to join us on the 9am this week as we will be enforcing our ‘no on gets left behind’ policy. That is likely to mean that we will split at some point in to two groups, so there won’t be any pressure to keep up with the Fast Froomies !
As always, please bring a copy of your chosen route with you. We depart from the Rose and Crown in Ivinghoe at the times stated above.
During the week there will be other opportunities to spin your wheels. We will be going on a road ride this Tuesday from Pitstone roundabout, leaving at 6:30pm. Also, if you are interested in a mountain bike ride over to Ashridge this Thursday evening, please leave a message on our Facebook Page (Ivinghoe Velos Rear Hub) and we will get something organised.
Four rides on offer this week. The extra one is from Andrew Broadbent, who has kindly offered to lead out a longer 10am ride.
Please bring a copy of your chosen route with you.
Tuesday sees the start of this season’s Tuesday Evening Ride. We begin from the Pitstone Roundabout (the one near the village hall) at 6:30pm and ride for an hour or so. It is very mixed ability so we tend to split into groups.
Three rides this Sunday for your enjoyment.
As always, please bring a copy of your chosen route with you.
Three road rides and one off-road to tempt you with this week.
The rides above are on road bikes.
Elke and Catherine will be leading out an easy paced off-road ride starting at 10am and finishing when the pub opens!
All of these rides start from the Rose and Crown at the time stated above … and don’t forget to put your clocks forward tonight otherwise you could end up riding alone.
Given the prospect of sub-zero temperatures tomorrow, we are proposing a Mountain Bike route for the Velos Sunday Ride.
10am start, 25 mile, mainly off road
As usual, please do bring a copy of the route with you.
If required, we will split into groups based on ability and will make sure no-one gets left behind.

As usual, please bring a copy of your chosen route with you.
Given the weather we are proposing a “look and see” approach to modes of transport (i.e. road or Mountain Bike) and which route to take.
We can say for sure that there will be a Mountain Bike group departing from the R&C at 10am. If the roads look OK and you would prefer to ride your road bike, please come along and we will make a route up as required.
