Take a look at most cycling club guidelines, and you will find that not riding with mudguards is considered quite antisocial. Indeed, many clubs will not let you ride in winter without them. The mudguards below are fairly cheap and designed for road bikes. They can be fitted in about 30 minutes, and are easy to remove. There is a very good video on how to fit them too. No excuses.

Are there any intrepid riders out there? I think tomorrow will be one for mountain bikes so I may not be out myself, but will keep an eye out to see who turns up! There is always good tea and cake at the Rose and Crown for those who get that far, and decide its far enough!

Meet at 10 am outside the Rose and Crown for a sociable ride around the countryside. We will go at the pace of the slowest rider, and aim to be back at the pub before midday for hot chocolate and cake or beer and bacon butties- what ever you prefer.
